Change plan details
Modification is only available on the renewal date of the policy.
Your current membership is for a one-year term. This means that you can adjust your plan details, such as adding or removing coverage options, only during your policy renewal period.
Please be aware that all plan modifications are subject to the insurer's review and final acceptance.
To discuss potential changes, please reach out to us before your policy's expiration date. We're happy to help you understand your options.
It's important to understand the following about modifying your plan at renewal:
- Downgrades: If you choose to downgrade your plan, it means reducing coverage by lowering benefit limits or adding/increasing deductible.
- Upgrades: If you wish to upgrade your plan (e.g., lower your deductible or increase your coverage levels), this will be subject to medical underwriting. The insurer will need to review your medical history and any claims made before approving the upgrade.
- New Waiting Periods: If you upgrade your plan to include additional benefits that were not part of your previous coverage, standard waiting periods for those new benefits will apply.
- Switching Plans or Providers: If you decide to change to a different insurance product or provider, a new medical underwriting process will likely be required. This could result in exclusions for any medical conditions that have developed since your current policy started. Additionally, any waiting periods you have already completed under your current plan for specific benefits or conditions will typically reset with the new plan.
